Im Zuge des Songcontests wird vom ORF der sogenannte „Youth Contest“ veranstaltet. Schüler/innen sind aufgefordert sich creative mit dem Thema „Buliding Bridges“ auseinander zu setzen. Die Gewinnerklasse wird dann zum Halbfinale nach Wien eingeladen und darf live beim Songcontest dabei sein.
Die 4e hat sich im Unterrichtsfach Englisch mit dem Thema intensiv beschäftigt und dazu Gedichte verfasst. Nach getaner Arbeit müssen wir nun auf das Juryergebnis warten und erfahren dann Mitte April, ob wir beim Songcontest dabei sein dürfen. - Building Bridges
Building bridges means to connect to each other
and treat everyone like your own brother.
Gemeinsam Brücken zu bauen
bedeutet zusammen in die Zukunft zu schauen.
Para construir puentes tenemos que unirnos
y ser capaces de abrirnos.
All around the world we should unite,
so we don’t ever have to fight.
Also bauen wir alle eine verbindende Brücke,
und schließen diese trennende Lücke.
El río que nos separa desaparece
y celebramos una fiesta que nos enriquece.
- Building Bridges
Standing at the riverside,
there is that one girl.
Her sleeves are always
pulled over her hands,
and the rumors about her
are true
The others are tattling
and judging her,
is that what you´re going to do?
Or even the man
who works next to you!
You don´t want to know
when the last time
it was he has eaten.
And after all, ignoring it,
is even worse than being beaten.
People with serious mental diseases?
Judged and ignored, all around the world!
Why not build a bridge,
to their mind and heart?
Why not stop judging,
to keep them from falling apart?
So try to understand:
If someone has a mental problem,
looking away isn´t right!
And if you don´t start caring,
it will end up in a fight.
A fight of desperation that is,
which could easily be prevented,
with a simple, with care built
bridge.
- It does not matter…
It does not matter if you´re black or white,
we all should have the same right.
It does not matter that we eat different food,
we should not be rude.
It does not matter if it´s near or far,
we should not have any war.
It does not matter if you´re large or small,
nobody should fall.
It does not matter if you´re yellow or red,
we all should have a bed.
If you write an e-mail or an letter,
it does not matter!
