A once in a lifetime opportunity – looking back at our trip to the US

Peterborough, New Hampshire:

We, the students of the 7e class, Ms. Landa and Mr. Baier, spent two amazing weeks in Peterborough, NH, in the USA. The trip gave us all the chance to see what an American high school is like and participate in numerous activities such as visiting neighboring cities and pumpkin carving.

On the last day we were able to celebrate Halloween. We went trick-or-treating and most of us even dressed up!

Boston, Massachusetts:

After the first two weeks we went to Boston and spent a whole day there. We went to the mall and toured the downtown area. For most of us, our favorite part was Little Italy where some of us treated ourselves to delicious canolli.

New York City, New York:

Afterwards we spent two whole days in New York City. There was so much to see so we started with One World Trade Center and watched the sunset, which was beautiful. We also visited a few museums and rode the Staten Island Ferry, where the view of the NYC skyline was absolutely perfect. An important but sad part of the trip was learning about the tragedy of 9/11 and visiting the 9/11 Memorial Site. All in all, spending our last two days in New York City was the best way to end the journey.

This trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are all very grateful to have had this experience. If you want to read more, visit our blog https://akadconval2022.blogspot.com/
