Englandsprachreise 7a

Day 1 (02.06.):

Very early in the morning we met at Salzburg Airport. After a stopover in Vienna we landed at Heathrow Airport and were picked up by the coach that took us to Bournemouth.

After receiving information on our week ahead our host families drove us to their homes.

Day 2 (03.06.):

On our second day, we were picked up by the bus at 8:30 and drove for about 1 hour to Portland. There our guide told us general information about the jurassic coastline, which is located on engalnds southcoast.

Then we as well took a walk at this beach. Afterwards we had some free time in Weymouth.

Our last two stops were „Durdle Door“ and „Lulworth Cove“. At 17:00 we were brought back to our host families.

Day 3 (03.06.):

After having our first 6 English lessons in Cavendish School, we were allowed to explore the city of Bournemouth on our own until the bus picked us up and took us home to have dinner with our host families.

In the evening we went to school again to do karaoke with the whole class, which was a lot of fun. Some of us decided to spend a relaxing evening near the beach until we had to go home. It was a really nice day and we look forward to spending the following days here.

Day 4 (05.06.):

On the second day of school our task was to write a text for the teachers to get an impression of our English skills.

Surprisingly we weren’t that tired like on our first school day. After school we got picked up by the bus and went to Southampton, where the tour guide informed us about the Southampton walls.

Luckily we got to spend some free time in the mall where we ate delicious food. On our way back we took the scenic route through The New Forest.  All in all the day was nice.

Day 5 (06.06.):

Even though we had to get up early this morning we didn’t have to go to school. Instead, our bus brought us to London! Unfortunately, we didn’t have the pleasure to meet her majesty, the Queen, but still we got to see Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, 10 Downing Street and Trafalgar Square.
Finally we had some free time, which most of us spent shopping in Oxford Street before we drove home.

Day 6 (07.06.):

On Thursday we went to Portsmouth. Our guide was very informative and told us many facts about the boats and the history about them. For example we learned a lot about the HMS Victory. Our guide showed us where the Captain was sniped and the mast would get new parts made of carbon.

Day 7 (08.06.):

To be continued…
